Algebra for dummies: how to start

Algebra for Dummies: How to Start

The most importand factor about algebra and mathematics is that you really need to practise in order to understand the concepts. There are a lot of algebra books, tutorials, interactive lessons, online tutors and courses that can help you a lot, but without some homework and practise you are bound to fail.

You cannot remember the thousands of algebra concepts and equations without truly understand what each equation really means. What is the reason behind every algebra concept.

A key factor is to take small steps. For example learn one algebra equation, practise it for a couple of days, then move on to the next. Move on only if you feel comfortable with what you’ve learned. Every time you move on to the next algebra concept increase the difficulty of the equations or the exercises you’re trying to solve.

Follow this procedure and soon you’ll notice that your brain will be able to absorb mathematics and algebra quicker and easier. You will start to like it.

Another thing is that algebra requires you to apply specific rules. You will find these basic rules in a lot of equations and algebra concepts. The more you practise the basic algebra rules the better you’ll become at learning different and more difficult algebra concepts.

A lot of people learning algebra miss out on the basic rules. In the end they mess up everything.

Remember, rules are everywhere. Our society is based on specific rules. Same goes for algebra. Treat algebra rules like a game and you’ll like it.

You may end up wondering.. Why should I learn math and algebra? That’s a good question. You must ask yourself this question before you go on. Algebra will help you solve problems, make decisions, apply strategies and a lot more. If you want your skills to worth gold then you have to learn math and
especially algebra. If you want your mental powers to reach top level then you have to learn algebra.

If you like mathematics then you know that in order to move to advanced mathematics you have to know the basics of algebra. Algebra is everywhere in your everyday life. This is a great advantage when trying to learn algebra. Why? Because you can take the a real situation and turn it into an algebra concept or equation.

Always ask yourself.. why? Here is a simplified example. You walk on the street and you see a girl carrying a birdcage. Inside the birdcage there are 4 little birds. Suddenly the cage’s door opens and one of the birds escapes. You can turn this incidence into a simple algebra equation:

3 – 1 = 2

See what I mean? Now that’s the first step! After that it will be easy to turn live complicated situations into algebra concepts. Your brain will soon become familiar with the idea. And soon you will be able to turn your entire life into algebra!

The importance of intelligence studies

The Importance Of Intelligence Studies

Copyright (c) 2010 Henley-Putnam University

Introduction Intelligence support can be a valuable tool to assist law enforcement agencies in the performance of their daily duties. It’s especially relevant in counterterrorism investigations and operations. To effectively support leaders and decision makers, security professionals need to be well-versed in intelligence studies. There are numerous masters in intelligence studies programs that offer both classroom and online education programs geared toward analysts and those who collect and disseminate all types of intelligence.

Why are Studies in Intelligence Important? Intelligence work is a discipline in and of itself, just like police work, and carries its own language, rules, and culture. Intelligence encompasses a broad range of disciplines and jobs including those that work in national security, law enforcement, and corporate security to name a few. State and local governments also have needs for certain types of intelligence. Those in academia research and teach fundamental courses in intelligence studies. Studies in intelligence are undertaken by think-tanks to support the views of special interests and to influence policymakers. Whether protecting American citizens and our way of life or preventing a corporate competitor from stealing secrets, intelligence plays a pivotal role across the public and private sectors.

The Intelligence Collection Cycle Masters in intelligence studies programs provide students and practitioners with an understanding that intelligence is a process that is designed to support a person or organization. Intelligence provides assistance to decision makers, planners, operators and sometimes other intelligence organizations. Intelligence is useless if it’s inaccurate, or if it is presented in an unusable format when needed. It’s imperative that intelligence professionals have a clear understanding of the tasking being levied. Tasking is the first step in the intelligence cycle.

– Tasking: The tasking should originate with the person or organization being supported. The more involved the customer gets in tasking, and the more detailed that tasking is, the better the final product becomes. This tasking is referred to as a requirement, and it drives the rest of the collection cycle.

– Collection: This is the actual gathering of raw information. It can take the form of imagery, a communications signal intercept, or a report from a person.

– Processing: This is the stage where raw data is converted to a useable format. Documents may be translated, human generated reports are formatted and source information added, and other inputs are converted to customer specifications.

– Exploitation: Intelligence analysts analyze incoming information to determine its significance. The final product is created according to the customer’s requirement at this stage.

– Dissemination: The finished intelligence product is delivered according to the customer’s requirement.

Fortunately, you don’t need to be an expert on the capabilities of each intelligence discipline. In national security, the intelligence process is overseen by a collection manager (CM) who is an intelligence professional usually experienced in a single intelligence discipline that helps the customer craft their requirement. The CM then determines the most effective intelligence discipline to satisfy the requirement, prioritizes it against other requirements, and tasks an intelligence resource to achieve the collection. A CM follows the requirement through the collection cycle, acting as an advocate for the customer.

Intelligence, Terrorism, and Law Enforcement Intelligence support can be a valuable tool to assist law enforcement agencies in the performance of their daily duties. It’s especially relevant in counter-terrorism investigations and operations. Terrorist organizations rely heavily on secrecy and anonymity to carry out their religious and politically driven agendas, and intelligence gathering and exploitation is best suited to stripping away this critical layer of protection and making them more vulnerable to infiltration, investigation and arrest.

As terrorism continues to plague the world through the global Salafi jihad movement, the United States will forever serve as a critical target for various organizations who seek to spread “pure” Islam. Through patience and vigilance, our enemies continue to further their cause through the understanding of our society. Thus, it becomes imperative we do the same. It is imperative we continue to learn about those who choose to attack our freedoms and way of life, and our law enforcement agencies will have to take the lead in this ongoing war. Indeed, the law enforcement community must develop transparent communication and intelligence links.

Conclusion While the days of fighting conventional crime are still at the forefront, our modern foes have defiantly presented us with a challenge that must be met with extreme prejudice if we are to successfully protect our nation and its citizens. The collection of intelligence will prove invaluable in this success, but we must learn to properly use this important tool at the strategic, operational, and tactical levels and it starts with training and utilizing every facet of our law enforcement agencies as they continue to patrol and protect our neighborhoods.

Help with statistics

Help With Statistics

Need statistics help or with any other field or subject of applied mathematics or other fields? Try asking Dr. Math at This is an online open forum where people can simply submit their queries on any mathematics related subject which will be then answered by Dr. Math in a couple of days. There are many people who have already asked questions on the website and they have been answered satisfactorily. The good thing about the Math Forum is that they cater to the student’s or inquirer’s direct mathematics problem, rather than supplying basic theories and facts that will merely require more explanation and application.

This is because the method of the Math Forum’s statistics help is learning by example. Many individuals send their questions such as math problems they encounter or other related things and Dr. Math answers it for them. Alongside the answers are more importantly the extensive explanations of Dr. Math in terms of his answer and as to which formulae and principles he used in solving the problem. He also includes the general rules in such a principle or formulae and includes other statistics help details such as exceptions and important things to note, as well as techniques on how to remember to get the formula right.

For example, in one of the questions, a forum poster asked for middle school statistics help, specifically about the definition of mean, median, mode and range. Dr. Math then answers by first proposing to define the terms and thus he gave a set of numbers which the student could presume as math grades. The first term, which is mean, is then defined in one paragraph, which is followed by a simple description as to how the mean is achieved and uses the number he has given earlier to achieve the mean as an illustrative example. He then moves on to define what the median is, explains the manner or formula used to find it and uses the same set of numbers to derive it for the example. And since the median is a bit more difficult to achieve, he provides explanation as to how it is taken. The same goes for the definitions, explanations, and illustrations of the mode as well as the range.

In the Math Forum, all the answers similar to the example above and saved and posted on the website, so that is there are other people who have the same question they can browse through the answers immediately. For the convenience of the viewer, each of the questions and answers are categorized by the field of mathematics and to the educational level they would most likely fall under. As for the forum, most of the mathematical fields are there, including statistics help, which are all subdivided into the five general stages of education, from the early school years to college.

There are also other statistics help websites on the internet, some of them are even on links where the Math Forum website is also featured. Just search for them and see which one fits you best.

Schooling in spain – international v state schools

Schooling in Spain – International v State Schools

If you are moving to live in Spain and you have children, one of your biggest decisions will be where to send them to school. You will want them to get the best education possible, but there will be a number of factors to consider when choosing the type of school that is best for them. Location, finances and their age will all have to be taken into account, and you will have to carry out a lot of research in order to make sure that they get into the best school possible.

When it comes to the school system in Spain, you will generally have two options: a private international school or a public state school. Language will often be one of the determining factors in which you choose, and if your child is approaching their teenage years and does not speak Spanish then it will be harder for them to pick up the language and their schooling could suffer as a result. It is therefore a very important decision, and the following information should help you when it comes to making it.

General School Rules In Spain

Schooling is compulsory for all children aged six to 16. Although it is not required by law, many children go to pre-school from the ages of three to five, but this is not provided by the state and will require a fee.

Academic Year

The academic year lasts from the middle of September to the middle of June, which is the same as in the UK, and the holidays are also the same (Christmas, Easter and Summer). However, the length of the holidays is generally longer than in many other countries, so make sure you prepare for how you will keep your children entertained, especially during the summer.

School Times

The school day generally lasts from 9am to 2pm in primary schools and slightly longer in secondary students. However, there are bound to be variations on these times, and private schools will have their own rules.

Getting A Place

Finding a place in a state school is straightforward if you are an EU citizen, and the system is based on the catchment area of the school in question, meaning it depends upon where you live. To increase the chances of getting into the school you want, therefore, you should consider moving within the catchment area when you purchase your property.

Location will also be important if you are sending your child to an international school as these may not be available in some areas of the country. International schools can also have long waiting lists, so make sure to get in early.

International Schools

International schools are bilingual schools which are aimed at English, German and French speakers as well as other nationalities. They are often considered the best choice for foreigners as the students do not suffer from having a low level of Spanish, especially at secondary age.

For the English schools at least, they generally follow the English national curriculum, which is an attraction for many parents. This means that English exams are taken including GCSEs and A-levels, and these can also come alongside the International Baccalaureate programme and even Spanish qualifications, known as the Bachillerato.

Learning Environment

It is common to have a better learning environment than state schools because classes are often smaller, and there is often a more relaxed approach to teaching. There is also the opportunity to take part in a number of extra curricular activities which you may not find in a state school.

The drawback is obviously the cost. Primary schools cost up to ?4,000 a year and secondary schools cost up to ?10,000 a year, and although this is cheaper than in many countries, it is still a lot of money and you will also have to pay extra for books and other materials.

Cultural Integration

On top of that, there is also the concern that studying in an international school provides the pupils with less cultural integration than they would get in a Spanish school, so they end up speaking in English all the time and not getting enough understanding of the country they are living in. However, most international schools will have a few Spanish pupils so this is not totally lost.

State Schools

There are a lot more state schools across the country, meaning there is a greater variation and you are more likely to find one in the area you are living.

State schools are of course a lot cheaper. Education after the age of five is completely free, minus the costs of books and other expenses, which will be attractive if you cannot pay for private education.

Cultural Integration

There will also be a greater cultural integration because your child will be spending the whole day speaking Spanish and mixing with locals, so they will pick up a greater amount of information about the country and will also learn the language more quickly.

Language Problems

Problems can arise due to the fact that many older children find it incredibly hard starting a school in a new language, and if they do not have a good command of Spanish then their education could really suffer as a result. To counter this, some schools offer a bilingual curriculum and Spanish lessons to help ease the process, so this might be an option. In the case that you need a Spanish tutor for your child then this will be an extra cost to consider.

Teaching Methods

As well as this, schooling in Spain is sometimes criticised as being too old fashioned. Although the situation is improving, you may not want your child to study in this manner.

In general, schools in Spain are of a high quality and you should not have a problem finding a suitable school for your child. Location, fees and your child’s level of Spanish are going to be the main concerns, and as long as you prepare carefully then the process should not be too difficult.

The influence of christianity on childhood-a christian perspective

The Influence Of Christianity On Childhood-A Christian Perspective

The framework for societal understanding of the nature and the place of the child has for a very long time been shaped by the church, upon which all depended for direction and guidance. For instance, when a child was born, during the medieval period and even today in quite a number of places across the world, it was a requirement that that child undergo the Christian rite of baptism. The aim was to ensure that the child was incorporated into the particular society. Now every society is governed by particular rules and regulations. In Christianity, the most prominent figure of childhood was that of Jesus Christ, who also happens to be the founder of the church. It was understood and required therefore, that every child be shaped within the context of Jesus. This is because Christ was the model, and so ideas like the pure childhood, holy childhood, were all coined based on this understanding. As soon as the child was baptized, it was expected that that child would conform to the demands of the Christian principles. The question that comes up with regard to this understanding is whether Christianity was sufficiently informed about the teachings that it imparted on the people regarding the child and childhood. At some point, there were cases of indoctrination, whereby children were forced to believe that the kind of knowledge they were given was the absolute truth, and were therefore required to follow it with great religiosity.

The greatest model parental guidance is the family of Nazareth, which is considered by Christianity as the most exemplary family. The parents of Jesus therefore provide great lessons on the ways in which childhood is to be ordered.

The Christian Culture and Childhood

Christianity is a culture by its own rights. This is because, every aspect that is found in Christianity has been founded on the Jewish culture. Therefore, this culture has greatly shaped the understanding of childhood. For instance, the child was considered inferior to the adult. This is why it would be unacceptable for a child to stand against an adult, while there was no problem for an adult to stand against a child, with a reason of course. This placed children in a very risky situation, because children were somehow vulnerable. Children did not have a lot of defenders in this situation. It is common in the Bible for instance, to find children not being counted, because they did not total to a person. This view shaped the idea of childhood for a long time in many parts of the world. Children were expected to stand for instance, when an adult was passing, and so on. Childhood became like a punishment, and children craved for the time that they would become adults. In this way, childhood was not enjoyed, and as science today reveals, this situation leads to even more complicated situations. This understanding of childhood was very well seen in the medieval period, where in many societies, even today, children were not considered as comprising the membership of their particular societies. This of course meant that children could for instance not work, and so on.

The Idea of Innocence

This idea has become widely accepted among the non-Christians. It is common knowledge that children are innocent and pure. According to Christianity, the child is born in a state of innocence. This understanding has been greatly informed by the fact that children had traditionally been considered incapable of making informed decisions, meaning that they cannot be held accountable for their acts or omissions. This idea of innocence however, is kind of contradicted by the understanding of the original sin, which is taught by the church. The idea claims that when a child is born, there are certain sins that somehow pass onto the child from the first parents, Adam and Eve, through what has been referred to as propagation. Therefore, although a child is claimed to be innocent, they are required to undergo a certain kind of ritual, in order to be purified from this sin. The contradiction lies in the fact that the child cannot be innocent, and have a hereditary sin at the same time.

The idea of innocence has also been greatly contradicted by the fact that Christianity teaches that a child is born with the potential to be sinful, what has been referred to as concupiscence. If it is absolutely clear that childhood will at some point be riddled with sinfulness, the dormancy which is seemingly there cannot be considered as innocence. It is for this reason that the idea of childhood innocence as advanced by Christianity seems to lack sufficient ground. At the same time, it is important to make a distinction between innocence and ignorance. Christianity has for very long time confused ignorance in the child with innocence. This is because, if there was innocence, it should not be lost. However, it is very clear that as soon as a child develops further, innocence is lost, or rather, the ignorance is gone, and the child becomes informed about the realities of life. This cannot be considered innocence; it is pure ignorance. John Locke came up with the understanding that a child is born with absolutely nothing in the mind. In there is only the potential for acquiring something. Innocence can only be acquired where knowledge has already become possible.

The claim of childhood innocence has also been very greatly boosted by the scientific claim that mind lacks full development. This claim does not suffice for the claim of innocence. In other words, the fact that the mind is not fully developed does not mean that there is no sufficient knowledge of moral issues. Therefore innocence as such cannot be fully justified in childhood.

Student life in college is not a silly thing

Student Life in College Is not a Silly Thing! Be Sure!

Student life in college seems to be an outstanding event in life of many people. Of course, except the long lectures and exhausting exams there is a lot of another captivating stuff: late-night studying in a small groups, concerts of a student band, mud soccer game or touching theatrical performances. Alma mater College is a unique place, indeed. It is not only a place where they learn, but where they also live, laugh, sometimes cry, and make first timid steps into a big world. Students of a college are not just a big crowd of young people came to get professional education and be awarded by Master’s degree. Students are a nation, living in a separate state with its own laws, rules and outlook on life. Every respected college provides its students not only wide resources needed for studying but also creates a lot of cultural, sport and outdoor attractions to develop youth as comprehensively mature personalities. Programs The governing body of many colleges understood that the best way to educate students is to allow them to extend their learning via civic engagements, religious and cultural programs, participation in active student projects and associations. Except this, the leisure activities are not bounded by college programs. Social activities seems to be silly without restaurants, cafes, travel centers, medical centers, beauty salons, concert halls, nightclubs, and various sporting facilities. In other words, for governing body events happening outside the classroom are of the same importance as inside class events. Some colleges worked out special spiritual programs that allow students to grow spiritually and develop strong and lasting relationships based on the best spiritual traditions and basic commandments. As a rule, first year in a college offers different challenges, opportunities, invaluable experience. Thus, the first year program is worked out to maximize the obtained experience. It supports students to continue studying and be successful in a degree awarding pursuit.

Why are essay structures so important to essay writing

Why are Essay Structures so important to Essay Writing?

Now many people reading the above heading may look at it and, shaking their head, think –

‘What a stupid question!’ I know I did too because the answer is surely obvious – isn’t it?

Well, that’s what I thought for many years for the simple reason that I believed (like I am sure that many of you do) that there was no way that you could expect to write ‘good’ essays in practice if you did not also have ‘good’ essay structures in place that showed a clear line from the first thought that you wrote on the screen/page in front of you until the very last thing that you put in your conclusion. And yet, despite this simple reasoning, I never cease to be amazed at the sheer number of essay papers I have seen with little or no effective structuring to them and this is so obviously to their detriment because otherwise good ideas can all too easily be lost within a poor structure. Therefore, when it comes to producing any essay I would advise you to always look to have the following word in mind when writing your essay – ‘PLANNING’.

This is because I would look to consider your essay strutures as being an essential aspect of this aspect of your essay writing and so I would advise you to first ask yourself the following five questions in practice –

(a) What am I being asked to do?

(b) What does this mean to me?

(c) How will this effect my writing style?

(d) What do I already know about what I have been asked to write about?

(e) Where can I find more information?

Then, depending on the nature of the subject that you have been asked to write about you may be required to undertake a great deal of research or the information may already be available to you (i.e. if you are writing about law then you are clearly going to need to refer to court decisions and legislation as well as other people’s views allied to your own, but if you are writing about a play then you may still refer to other people’s views but your own view is likely to become all the more significant for the reader so think about what the reader/assessor requires from you).

As I previously alluded to in my earlier article (‘Why does the Essay Word Count worry students so much?’) should get you thinking about the structure of your work which you can then detail in the first paragraph by way of an abstract (particularly for a dissertation or thesis) or you may refer to it in the way that I do for an essay as the ‘Introduction to the Introduction’ because you are using this to tell the reader about your approach to the subject matter and in what order this will be undertaken in your essay structure. Then the next paragraph that you writie will be your ‘actual’ introduction that serves to present the main issue that is to be discussed and its importance to the particular aspect of the subject area you are studying. From there the rest of your work should be looking to consider matters related to this issue. Then, finally, you should be looking at concluding with a summary of the key points derived from your discussion relating to the overall subject matter that you have been analysing so as to draw the work to a close.

Moreover, I have also found that it is generally a good idea to not write less than seven lines and/or three sentences and NOT much more than 250 words per paragraph so you keep your arguments and analysis as part of your discussion clear and concise without proving too detriment to your essay word count. In addition, I geneally also like to look to work to the following four basic rules with regards to the content of each paragraph –

(a) First, make a point that you consider to be important.

(b) Second, explain why that point is important.

(c) Third, offer any supporting evidence from other people’s work and show why it supports what you are saying.

(d) Fourth, consider whether there is anything that conflicts with what you are saying and then use that to move into your next pargraph so that the flow of your work is enhanced.

Of course these rules may need to be adapted depending on the nature of the work that you have been set, but in principle these are just some of the thoughts that go through my head when thinking about the essay I am writing and the development of effective essay structures.

When thinking of your essay structures, however, I would also advise you to look to first ‘group’ ideas together at the planning stage. For example, if you are writing an essay about the ‘Nazi Party’s hold over Germany’ you may group ideas in the following way –

(a) Economic

(b) Social

(c) Political

(d) Propaganda

At the same time, however, you need to show an appreciation of any ‘crossover’ between areas because. for example, some issues like the ‘Jewish Question’ may relate to all four areas of division used for the ‘grouping’ of ideas. This is because, by way of illustration, it may be economic and social due to the fact that the Nazi Party played on the idea that Jewish people were not German citizens and were taking jobs away from those who were so that they were detracting from Germany’s national economy. Moreover, it was also a polical and propaganda issue because the Nazi Party blamed the Jewish people for a lot of the problems that the country was experiencing as a whole. Therefore, there is a need to think carefully about the way in which you express your ideas in practice since it is also important to make sure that you express your ideas clearly in concise precise sentences that are pointed and clear in what they are saying.

Poor structuring is lazy and if you fail to express yourself in a clear way it will cost you a lot marks, but have really barely scratched the surface of what you need to appreciate when structuring your work here. Therefore, if you would like a great deal more information and support in this regard then you can find it in the form of my own e-journal ‘The Secret Guide To Academic Writing & Study’ that I produced myself and am currently distributing to students like you at a remarkably inexpensive one-off price through my website at

Get it out of your mind and into a mind map

Get It Out of Your Mind And Into a Mind Map

Do you ever feel like you have some great ideas, but when you sit
down to write them, they’re not so great? Or even worse, you can’t
really get a sense of what the ideas were?

In one of my graduate student coaching groups we have been
discussing the difficulty of translating partly formed ideas into words
on paper. One technique that makes use of a normally underutilized part
of our brain is called “Mind Mapping.”

What is a Mind Map?

Tony Buzan, who created the word “Mind Map” and has written extensively on it, describes it as a powerful graphic technique that
makes use of the way our brains naturally work. He says it has four characteristics.

1. The main subject is crystallized in a central image

2. The main themes radiate from the central image as branches

3. Branches comprise a key image or key word printed on an associated line.

4. The branches form a connected nodal structure

How Do You Mind Map?

Mind mapping is best done in color. If you have some markers or
colored pencils, and a sheet of white paper, you’re ready. If you
don’t, just use what you have.

Start with the central idea that you are trying to wrap your mind
around. It could be the big picture (e.g. your next chapter) or a
smaller idea (e.g. the next few paragraphs.) Write it down in one or
two words at the center of the paper, and draw a circle around it. If
there is a symbol or picture that you can put with the words, sketch
that in. The idea is that you are activating the non-verbal side of
your brain. The quality of what you draw is not important, since you
will be the only one seeing it. The same is true for the ideas you come
up with. Don’t edit, just put in what comes to mind.

There are no rules for the way to proceed from here. I tend to break
rules, anyway. The way my mind works, I start thinking of related
ideas, categories, and ideas, which I write in little circles
surrounding the circle in the middle. I then use lines to connect them.

Tony Buzan likes to draw curved lines emanating from the center, and
write the related or associated ideas on the lines. The result looks
like a tree emanating from a central spot.

My technique looks more like a bunch of lollipops.

As you continue to add associated ideas to your outer circles or
branches, you continue to draw the connections. You will notice as you
fill them in that there are cross connections that appear. I find it
helpful to draw lines between those interconnecting ideas.

How Does a Mind Map Help?

The brain is an associative network, and the right hemisphere (in
most people) is responsible for non-verbal, visual, associative and
much creative thinking. Normally when writing, we are mostly making use
of our left hemisphere, which tends towards the analytical,
one-thought-at-a-time approach. Our internal thoughts, however, are not
shaped like that. Thus we have a roadblock as we try to get our
brilliant thoughts on paper.

By using a Mind Map as a starting point for thinking, you can bypass
the blockage and feeling of overwhelm caused by overly analytical
thinking. The Mind Map allows you to see more than one thought at a
glance, and in doing so helps clarify your thinking. It shows the way
ideas are interrelated (or less related than you thought.) It allows
more access to creative, non-linear parts of your brain.

How Can Grad Students and Professors Use Mind Maps?

At this point, you’re probably thinking, “How is it that Gina writes
so brilliantly and clearly? How does she keep all her creative thoughts
straight?” The secret is that I use Mind Maps to write my articles. So
it’s not a high IQ but my Mind Mapping skills that got me where I am

Here are some helpful ways to make use of Mind Mapping.

1. Use it for brainstorming ideas for your proposal or new research project.

2. Make a Mind Map of your next chapter or the one you’re currently stuck on.

3. When planning your career, make a Mind Map to show the pros and cons of your available options.

4. Use a Mind Map to take notes.

5. Mind Mapping can help keep you awake and interested in your subject.

6. Prepare for an upcoming meeting with a Mind Map and use it to explain your ideas.

7. Use it in teaching, both to prepare classes and for handouts.

Play around with Mind Mapping. You’ll find it’s a refreshing break
from the one-foot-in-front-of-the-other way that we approach many
things in life.
